Our origins

Why we write about play

We started from a simple observation: a few blocks can become a bridge, a tower, or something nobody planned. We look at what a game invites children to do, not only what it looks like on a shelf, and we take the age of the child and the way a family plays seriously.

Our articles focus on everyday moments: a construction game on the living room rug, a traditional board game after dinner, a creative project shared between siblings. We say when an activity needs an adult close by and when it leaves more space for children to try things on their own.

Our independence

We sell no goods and publish no paid endorsements

Grandir en Bois is a fully independent publishing project, free from commercial toy brand ownership. We feature no sponsored product placements, we make no unverified claims, and we invent no lab certifications or testimonials. Legal notices and our privacy policy are available throughout the site.
